Drystone

Chris has built and repaired (many, many tons of!) traditional drystone walls at Garths Croft and elsewhere on the island of Bressay. These vernacular structures provide wonderful shelter for animals, protection for plants and trees and a habitat for wildlife (including nesting birds!).
